This was always going to be a very hotly contested level with elite gymnasts from around Australia competing for a spot on the National squad. The SXL squad achieved remarkable results with lots personal best scores.

Today the 12-18 and 13-19 groups competed the first two of their routines – Balance,which consists of static holds and pyramids, followed by Dynamic showing throws, catches, somersaults and twists.

It was podium training for the International Squad this morning. A chance to stretch out after the journey and get a feel of the competition floor.

Our NSW State representatives joined the rest of the NSW team for training today. They had the opportunity to practice their routines and get feedback from coaches and judges from around the state. They also participated in an ASADA workshop about their rights and responsibilities surrounding drug testing, Physio screening and Social media training.
