I began my gymnastics career at the age of 5 and have been obsessed with the amazing sport ever since. I wouldn’t say that I was blessed with natural talent, I wasn’t the most flexible or the strongest but I did have a love for gymnastics. I have been a base my whole career and participated in my first competition at age 6. Being a base requires great responsibility and maturity, two traits which 6-year-old me lacked. However, through hard work and determination I improved my gymnastics skills and developed mentally. I then established what I wanted to achieve from the sport; to represent Australia at the World Age Group Championships. Having my mind set on this goal my partner at the time, Stella, and I were constantly working towards our dream. We went through many ups and downs but thankfully all our hard work paid off as we were selected onto the Australian team to compete as an 11-16 years pair at the 2018 World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium.

After my experience at worlds, I have created a new goal; to represent Australia again at another World Championships in the 12-18 years age category. Unfortunately, as we all grow it becomes more difficult to execute and advance skills, and therefore Stella and I had to split. I now have a new partner, Bella, and we are working towards becoming selected into the Australian team for 2020.

I would like to thank my coaches, family and friends for the endless amounts of support and encouragement. I would also like to thank my partners, Stella and Bella, as without them I wouldn’t be able to achieve my goals. I cannot wait for what the future may hold.
