The final session of the championship showcased the highest levels of the acrobatic competition and yet again SXL put it a strong and successful performance.
Shennei and Bella ( 12-18 pair) gold in Balance and Dynamic, silver in combined and silver overall.
Hayley, Kaitlyn and Lilly ( 12-18 trio) silver in Dynamic.
Clara, Phoebe and Buffy(12-18 trio) bronze in Balance
Our third 12-18 trio Priya, Nicole and Teisha narrowly missed out on the medals but put in a strong (and in the case of their combined routine, sassy) performance.
Last to compete the 13-19 trio Frances, Cassie and Alexandra performed a beautiful routine to end up as overall silver medalists.
Finally Frances and the other NSW team captains received the Championship Shield after NSW was declared the winning state for Acrobatic Gymnastics at the 2019 Australian Gymnastics Championships. Amy Yeomans our coach and Judge was presented with the Gymnastics Austral award of Merit. We thank her and all the SXL coaches for their dedication to the squad.
