My name is Samantha Hutton however most people call me “Sammie”, I am 10 years old and I compete in acrobatics gymnastics with my club, SXL gymnastics. I have been competing in acro gym for 3 years after starting with artistic gymnastics. Initially, I competed at level 1 in a mix pair and then progressed through level 3 in a trio and then level 5 competing in a women’s pair as the top. In each of these levels I was able to compete and win the NSW State Championships. This success along with hard work and dedication has seen me now move into the international 11/16 women’s comp to compete as a top in a pair.

I competed in my first international championship this year in Las Vegas and will be competing in the Australian nationals this month. From here I am looking forward to increasing the number of competitions both within Australia and Internationally and my ultimate goal is to represent my country in the 2020 World Championships. My motto is “Your dreams will come true if you just stick to it and work hard for it”.
